
I’ve borrowed a 2016 Mercedes A200d AMG from a local dealer, Kevin Giles Motors, for review. I like this version of the A class from Merc – its a much better shape and interior than the original one they launched. Having test driven two cars already in this hatchback segment, the Peugeot 208 and the Hyundai i20, how will the Merc fare?

Mercedes A Class recalls
The steering column is not sufficiently earthed. As a result, in the event of an electrostatic discharge, the driver’s airbag may be triggered when not required. This could cause an accident. The recall affects vehicles produced between 11/2011 and 07/2017. Source: Alert A12/1733/17 |

The mixture ratio of the fuel in the inflators of the front-passenger knee, pelvic and side curtain airbags may not be correct. Incorrect fitting of the pre-fuse box may lead to fire and to the loss of electrical power. Owing to the incorrect installation of fuses, various vehicle functions might fail.
