When I need cars to review, I generally reach out to local dealerships and ask can I borrow whatever is there that’s caught my eye.  And, as you can imagine, some of the time they don’t want to play ball.

UPDATE about this dealership

A small update here about this dealership – I brought the XF in for new front brake discs,  only to be told after the car was stripped that the wrong ones were supplied and a rush job was then undertaken to fit the correct discs.  That was in March and I need new brake discs the following August … 5 months for a set of Brembo front discs?  I don’t think so …!

Booked in to be replaced under warranty but the booking was bounced by a week as they could not get the correct discs.  Then when the car went in, wheels taken off and car stripped down only to discover they have the wrong brake discs again!  Huh? And to compound the error, not a word of apology about any of it.  Evidence suggests this dealership are all at sea when it comes to the more powerful/luxurious/upmarket cars.  I’ll get the discs replaced under warranty but I wouldn’t go near this place again after that.
